Bert Mills brings clients the insights of a seasoned human resource management/consulting professional. Prior to starting this consulting practice in 1980, Bert was HR Director for two large manufacturers and an acute care hospital, and was Director of a business university and a community mental health/ developmental disabilities agency.

He is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a past president of Northwest HR Management Association (NHRMA). Under Bert's leadership The Mills Group Northwest has become a premier HR consulting resource, assisting Pacific Northwest employers to develop employee relations environments that attract and retain quality employees.

Lynn Page specializes in unemployment claims management. Since joining The Mills Group Northwest in 1997, Lynn has processed over 6000 claims for unemployment benefits for over twenty client- employers in the four northwestern states. 

As the employers' representative, to the states' Unemployment Divisions, she advocates and provides documentation to contest invalid claims, counsels managers on termination procedures and prepares exhibits and witnesses for appeal hearings.

Lynn's expertise in statutes/regulatory codes that determine unemployment compensation eligibility has established her as a prime resource to human resource professionals throughout the region.

Jerry Smith joined The Mills Group Northwest in 1994 as an outplacement/career transition coach and counselor.  His years of successfully hiring, training, coaching and managing sales/marketing staff has proven to be a valuable foundation for his own career transition, as he effectively guides, motivates and mentors individuals engaged in the job search.

Having experienced "down-sizing" himself, Jerry
understands, and is able to identify with, the
challenges that confront the person in transition. 

Jerry has personally coached over 500 individuals
through their transitional job searches. His fine-
tuned teaching skills and motivational style are 
key to clients' learning the skills and techniques
essential to their successful career transition.
